Jerk Short Ribs

Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Resting Time 3 hours
Servings 3

Ingredients

Short Rib

  • 1 bottle Grace Jerk Marinade
  • 1 cup Grace Jerk B.B.Q
  • 8-10 slices of short ribs (thinly sliced, Korean style)

To serve

  • Rice and peas
  • Coleslaw
  • Chopped parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Marinate your short ribs: Place your thinly sliced short ribs in a Ziploc bag.
  • Pour your jerk marinade over the ribs, zip bag closed and massage briefly so ribs are fully coated.
  • Place ribs in the fridge for at least 3 hours and take out of the fridge 30 minutes before you are ready to cook in the oven or on your barbecue.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degree fahrenheit.
  • Arrange ribs on a baking rack with parchment or foil lined underneath. Or place ribs directly on a foil lined baking sheet.
  • If you have a barbecue, heat it up and when heated, cook ribs on medium to high heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Ribs are very thin so do not need to be cooked for too long.
  • If using your oven, bake your ribs for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees fahrenheit, flipping half way.
  • After 15 minutes, remove your ribs from the oven, brush Grace B.B.Q over the ribs and broil for 5 minutes on high until your ribs start to get more colour and char at the edges. Take ribs out, flip, and brush B.B.Q on the other side and repeat the 1-3 minutes of broiling. Note: When broiling watch ribs carefully because they may burn easily or dry out too quickly.
  • Take ribs out of the oven or off your barbecue and serve with a side of rice and beans and coleslaw.
