Hummus is Middle Eastern and popular around the world. Beef, ground or cubed, is a particularly popular addition to the otherwise vegetarian dip/spread. I enjoyed this with sourdough, but buy or make some pita to go with this for the best eating experience. I used canned chickpeas but of course you can boil chickpeas to make this recipe.
